position
is based in Dearborn, MI for a Fortune 500 Automotive Manufacturer. This position is expected to be long term. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance, if needed. No 3rd Party vendors - this client does not allow sub-contracting.
Skills Required:
Work with IT analysts to transfer business requirements into a sound design and implementation
Work with the data architecture team to design and propose database table changes
Participate in the design phase of each use case
Perform quality programming of application functionality to meet launch deliverables
Work in a collaborative and agile environment to design and implement reusable code
Participate in quality assurance reviews (design, code, and test plan reviews).
Execute test plans for unit testing and the support of systems testing
Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
Provide support for business testing phases and defect resolution
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Must have the ability to bring technical experience together with business knowledge
Experience Required:
5
years' experience with HTML/JavaScript/XML/JSP server side Java-based environment
5
years' experience with J2EE
2
years' experience with SUSE Linux 10 64 bit, WebLogic 12, BEA jRocket
3
year experience with Oracle, Teradata and DB2
3
year experience with PVCS or Accurev, ANT
5
year experience with a Java-based IDE
Experience with Windows 7 - Experience with application load testing and performance tuning
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong ability to multi-task effectively
Strong Quality Assurance skills
Familiarity with PVCS, AccuRev, or another code management product
Experience Preferred:
SUN Certified for J2EE platform desirable
Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing
