Ford Connected Services, a department of Electrical and Electronic System Engineering Product Development (EESE-CS), is responsible for innovation and delivery of vehicle connectivity features based on Fords SYNC and other in-vehicle Telematics platforms globally. EESE-CS has developed and provided ongoing support for the following features:
Ford Connected Services / SYNC Applications
911 Assist SYNC utilizes the customers cellular phone to directly dial 911 in the event of a vehicle crash.
Vehicle Health Report provides an on line report on the health status of a vehicle.
Services Ford has created APIs that allow customers to use their cellular phone to contact our proprietary voice portal to deliver cloud-based information and location services, including customized news and traffic reports, business search, and turn by turn directions.
Applink provides in-vehicle command and control of smart phone apps on multiple Mobile OSs.
MyFord Mobile The Portal and Mobile App experience for Electrified Vehicle Owners providing such things as state of charge, DTE, Value Charging and other in-vehicle content as well planning tools.
Ford Works/Crew Chief Our embedded Fleet telematics solution.
Position Duties:
Participates in discussions to define Business Integration Models (BIM).
Creates technical specifications (High Level and Low level designs) as per the analysis defined models and by applying industry and corporate design standards.
Participates and performs application design and code reviews.
Develop interfaces among the systems components to ensure interoperability.
Develops system level test cases and prepares test data.
Develop the applications as per the design and develops Proof of Concepts to meet the strategic needs.
Determines relevance and potential value of new technologies to support business objectives and strategy.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree.
Programming experience such as Java (J2EE), C, C++, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, JQuery, PHP, JHTML, XML
Background and experienced in development methodologies including Unified, Agile, Scrum.
Strong understanding and hands on experience in design patterns for web and messaging.
Hands on experience with functional and performance testing (manual, automated).
Effective communications skills to interact with suppliers, and other IT partners.
Organizational skills for active priority setting and consultation.
Flexibility and pro-active self-starter with the ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Systems Engineering Processes and Methodologies.
Motivated to learn and apply new technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Technology, Mathematics or related field.
Experience with Distributed / Cloud Environments.
Development experience with Service Orientated Architecture design utilizing open source Enterprise Service Bus (WSO2 Carbon).
Application Servers / Middleware including IBM WebSphere/Apache/Tomcat/WebLogic, ActiveMQ, WebSphereMQ.
Strong understanding of database modeling and programming (MySQL, Oracle, UDB).
Mobile Programming: Android / iOS, PhoneGap Framework.
Internet Programming / Integration Tools including: Servlets, Applets, Swing, Jsp, Visual Basic, CSS, HTML, JHTML,HTML5, Struts frame work, Spring, XML, XSL, XSLT, DTD, XSD, MQ, JMS(1.1 or 2), J2C, JCA, JPA, Hibernate, Payment Gateways(any), FTP, JTest, JProbe, Digital Signatures, Java Cryptography, SSO, Web Services(REST, SOAP), JSON, JAXB, JAX-WS, PL/SQL.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
