Essential Job Functions:
Define solution approach, including domain definition for engineering problems related to fluid mechanics and thermal analysis
Execute analysis tasks to plan using hand calculations and computer-aided engineering tools for steady state and transient analyses. Analysis tasks will include model creation, analysis, and solution post-processing.
Make technical recommendations based on engineering judgment and interpretation of analysis results.
Document work performed and results in written and/or presentation format.
Interface with internal and customer technical points of contact throughout the duration of the assigned tasks
Define, document, and implement technical process improvements to retain state of the art capability within the engineering center.
QuEST Team Lead: Support interviewing and hiring, develop team members, ensure team goals are achieved, and align the team to QuEST's vision, mission, and core values.
QuEST Project Management: Act as the point of contact for the customer related to the specified scope of work. Quote tasks, send weekly communications, track schedule and cost variances, and ensure overall project success.
Follow all regulatory and company procedures, including thorough recording of all work to ensure task traceability

Specialized Knowledge / Skills
Proficiency with commercial CFD tools for grid generation, solution, and post-processing is required. Familiarity with CFX, ICEM-CFD, GridPro, Star CCM+, ANSA, T-Grid, UH3D, RadTherm, or Fluent preferred.
Understanding of Programming Logic required, to create macros and sub-routines (e.g., FORTRAN, C/C++, Perl, VBA)
Proficiency with MS Office products required

Education, Training, and Experience
BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
3. years direct experience using CFD tools
Personnel / project / program management experience is strongly preferred
CFD experience in the automotive domain is a plus
