Human Resources Manager

A nonprofit organization in Michigan is currently seeking an experienced HR professional to join their staff as their new Human Resources Manager.
In this role, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, learning & development, retention, and managing payroll and benefits.
Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Manager will:
Manage complex and sensitive questions and issues that arise Manage the relationship with third party vendors such as ADP, employment attorneys, etc.
in regard to maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices Manage the onboarding process and orientation for new employees, instructors and 1099 contractors Develop learning plans for each employee and work with each employee to determine the specific training that is appropriate for them and facilitates the registration and tracking of progress Execute payroll in third party application such as ADP twice a month Facilitate updates to information such as direct deposit changes, adjusting for wage changes and bonuses, and manages commission payments Manage the expense reporting process in SAP Concur and ensures employee reimbursements are approved and paid Work with ADP and Accounting firm to ensure all 1099s and W2s are processed in a timely manner at the end of each year Administer the distribution of all benefits information to employees and help determine eligibility and open enrollment.
Facilitate employee's communication with benefits provider for life status changes Process and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork Assist the President in annual budget for wages, benefits, bonus pools and other HR related costs Draft all HR documents for managers that are necessary for carrying out HR policies and procedures, including performance evaluations, training plans, disciplinary write-ups, performance improvement plans, etc.
Support policies and procedures document management across the operation Provide periodic updates to President and facilitates other requests from the President Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:

years of professional experience.
Bachelor's Degree Possesses a thorough knowledge of HR and Talent Management principles, practices, laws, regulations, and procedures of specialization, such as Benefits and Payroll Solid problem solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills:
Master's Degree SHRM certification Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Communication Coordinating Document Management Systems Human Resources Interpersonal Skills Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
