We are looking for an experienced Data Engineers with extensive hands on Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) that will be responsible for designing and building the foundational components required for our customer(s).
This includes bringing disparate sources into their Hadoop data lake and crafting data products that will be used by the analytics and reporting teams.
Data engineers will work in small, multi-functional teams.
They will collaborate directly and continuously with product managers, designers, and product owners to release early and often.
About You:
You have worked in the Cloud environment for at least 3
years and are a numbers person with solid attention to detail.
You enjoy taking data and turning into a solution.
You are a troubleshooter and passionate about what you do.
What You'll Do:
Partner with teams across Ford to use curated data to create data products that deliver value for external customers Perform data discovery within Hadoop data lake and Google Cloud Platform ecosystems Implement ETL processes, such as data transformation using tools including but not limited to HQL, BQ, Spark, Scala, Python Ensure data quality, maintain profiles of data products, monitor system performance Comply with use case approvals from data governance, legal, and privacy policies Provide customer support and coordinate issue resolution with data stewards Maintain engagement with analytics teams, business partners, OGC and Tech What You'll Need:
3+years of demonstrated Cloud based Data Engineering in either GCP, AWS or Azure etc.
3
years of demonstrated ability with Hive, Python, Spark/Scala, SQL, etc.
Google Cloud Platform Experience, Big Query, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Data Flow, Cloud Composer, Cloud SQL, Pub Sub, Terraform, etc.
Experience with Hadoop Ecosystem, Kafka, PCF cloud services Familiar with big data and machine learning tools and platforms Working knowledge of data tools such as Hive, BQ, Python, SQL, Scala, Spark Exposure to APIs, Cloudera, MapR Experience with access, transformation and integration of data from multiple data sources Design data pipelines and data robots, take a vision and bring it to life Master data engineer; mentors others; works closely with IT architects to set strategy and design projects Provide extensive technical, strategic advice and guidance to key stakeholders around the data transformation efforts Redesign data flows to prevent recurring data issues Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as facilitation and presentation skills, and engaging presentation style.
Ability to work as a global team member, as well as independently, in a changing environment and prioritize.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with application implementation teams, IT project teams, business customers, and end users.
Ability to deliver work within deadlines.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
