The Chamber has become the largest American-Arab business organization int he United States, stimulating growth by building economic and cultural bridges locally, nationally, and across the globe.
Domestically, the Chamber is committed to strengthening its members through various programs, events and seminars.
Internationally, the Chamber has made tremendous strides to foster trade and establish relationships.
About the Role:
The Director of Communications and Outreach, who serves under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for maintaining and developing AACC's brand and storytelling through online and in-person communications.
With support of the AACC team, the Director will lead outreach, communications, and relationships with the media, the public, donors, and prospective and current members as well as planning efforts on large-scale events, such as the annual Building Bridges Gala.
The Director should be a flexible communications and nonprofit professional ready to tackle a wide range of exciting projects from storytelling in annual reports and grant reporting to PR to social media to events.
Key
Responsibilities:
Work with the Executive Director and AACC team on development and growth of the membership and sponsor base Work with the Executive Director to fine-tune AACC brand and messaging to support continued growth of the organization Create and implement a digital marketing plan on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
Oversee and update the AACC website Create and implement monthly newsletters for members and other community members Develop and implement a comprehensive AACC strategy for membership development, including recruiting new members, retaining current members, and follow-up with previous members Develop marketing materials for attracting new members Ensure member databases are up-to-date and clean Provide high level member support to ensure retention and happiness of members Maintain and develop opportunities to promote the Chamber's work to various news outlets Develop blog posts, op-eds and other written materials alongisde the Executive Director position AACC as a thought leader in the space Plan, coordinate, and support the execution of the Annual Building Bridges Gala and other smaller scale member events Oversee organization's sponsor and donor database and ensure all commitments are met Support AACC partner organization, Tejara (small business incubator), with grant reporting and storytelling Ensure effective communication between Chamber and its members, the public, and the board Support programmatic work as needed
Qualifications:
3-5 Years Relevant
Experience:
Proven experience managing communications or outreach, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Strategic Thinking:
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and execute marketing and communications plans.
Communication:
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate the vision and impact of AACC effectively for diverse audiences.
Written Arabic preferred.
Development:
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising and development principles, including grant reporting.
Cultural Competence:
Deep understanding of and sensitivity to the cultural nuances within Arab American communities.
Customer Service and Community Management:
Interest or experience in supporting members and creating opportunities to network and collaborate within communities Event Planning:
Experience planning professional fundraising and networking events Networking:
Exceptional networking skills with the capacity to engage a wide range of stakeholders including entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders.
Adaptability:
Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of AACC, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
