Position Duties:
Function as a Leader to build commodity experience within Ford Motor Company CAD team for interior trim components; Hard & Soft Trim, Headliners, IP and Console Finish Panels, Registers and Ambient Light design
Lead, cascade and monitor CAD timing for all milestone / gateway / program deliverables to Engineers, Designers and suppliers.
Lead CAD team in development and execution of best in class design practices on interior commodities
Use available resources to understand relevant methods and tools and provide first level designer support
Drive resolution of CAD data non-compliance issues cooperatively with designers, engineering and manufacturing
Support efforts to flex department resources.
Resolve and/or communicate issues to Supervisors.Minimum Requirements:
HS Diploma or Equivalent
5 years of interior trim experience in any of the following commodities (Hard Trim, Soft Trim, Headliners, IP/Console Finish Panels & Registers)
Strong technical skills in CATIA Part Design, GSD, Assembly Design and Team Center.
Strong understanding of AVBOM / WERS, and how they drive the design process through the program milestones.
Strong understanding of the DPA / DVG Process, and E2Ks.
Able to evaluate design alternatives and provide a recommendation based on data at hand and risk assessment.
Simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrate interpersonal skills including ability to plan and organize work.
Able to develop and track a plan to deliver geometry through the program milestones.Preferred
Qualifications:
AS or BS Degree
10
years of interior trim experience in any of the following commodities (Hard Trim, Soft Trim, Headliners, IP/Console Finish Panels & Registers)Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
