AVS-New Model Program Cost Estimator

Position Duties:
This is a unique position within IT that provides visibility into future model vehicle programs. Successful candidate will review new model program studies to determine impact to Ford's standard vehicle scheduling application (Automated Vehicle Scheduling - AVS). Work effort will include meeting with Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineers to understand program requirements and translate that into a cost estimate for AVS implementation for that program. Estimates will include hardware and implementation resource requirements. Candidate will also have the opportunity to renew and streamline the existing Excel based cost estimating template
Required Requirements:
Considerable knowledge of vehicle assembly processes, including body construction, paint operations, trim, chassis, and final assembly operations
Experience implementing vehicle scheduling applications
Bachelors degree - Engineering or IS/IT
Minimum Requirements:
Prior experience implementing Plant Floor Systems
Ability to work with minimum supervision; Self-starter
Ability to read and understand plant layouts
