Position Duties:
Lead S&R launch for major launches starting at post FDJ through OKTB.
Lead S&R at Whiteboard, Chief Review, Director Reviews, Hard Rock, AIMS, and Technical Design Reviews on program.
Lead development and delivery of key milestone papers (S&R Paynter Chart, AIMS resolution).
Lead S&R issue identification, and containment development/implementation.
Lead cross-functional team to deliver permanent resolution of S&R issues.
Meet program milestones: Concern-Per-Unit and high confidence corrective action at each build phase through OKTB.
Provide clear, definitive prevent recurrence feed back to pre-FDJ group.
Extensive travel required: Launch support, assembly plant support, Tier 1 supplier visits.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
1 or more years of automotive experience including a proven track record of delivery on assignments.
Experience with NVH.
Familiar with CAD to analyze and conduct DPA checks.
Have or able to get a valid passport.
Able to travel extensively (70-80%) throughout North America.
Good analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.
Strong interpersonal/team participation skills to handle presentations up to the Director and VP levels.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters' degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiar with 4-Poster/test track, S&R shaker, S&R diagnostic techniques, AIMS, S&R health chart/best practices/containment techniques, and S&R processes (pre-FDJ, launch, PVT) Trouble shooting Vehicle and Component S&R issues on an efficient/effective manner in the pressure of launch.
Capable of using NVH data acquisition tools and analysis techniques to help resolve complex S&R issues
Knowledgeable with WERS, eFDVS, LQOS, DURIS.
Familiarity with as many as possible of the following:
Manufacturing and assembly process at assembly plants.
Conduct S&R repair in-vehicle (diagnose, disassembly, repair) of interior/exterior body , and chassis.
Engineering analyses/documentation (including 8D, 6-Panel, FMEA).
