Job Description:
Engineer, Engine Lubrication Systems Design position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Design and develop lubrication systems and components for company's engine programs utilizing design optimization, test development, and validation processes. Monitor lubrication components during design development phase as well as cost reduction programs for design processes and support company's mechanical component development program. Conduct component lubrication research and present to Ford personnel. Monitor manufacturing processes and ensure receipt of engine program deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a master's or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of automotive powertrain engineering experience, including 1 year in the field of automotive engine tribology. Must also have 3 years of experience performing automotive lubrication system and product development. Requires 1 year of
Experience: performing design and release of lubrication components for diesel engines; and performing automotive tribology test development and analysis. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
