Materials Coordinator

POSITION
Summary:
Penske Logistics is looking for Materials Coordinators to become part of an excellent team. This position reconciles inventory and/or material flow through locations, investigates and resolves discrepancies, uploading correct information to all systems and user communities. Interacts with vendors and suppliers on behalf of the customer to ensure network efficiency.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Use computer to enter records
Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards (as applicable)
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments
Communicate with associates from other shifts
Complete daily logs
Proactively seeks opportunities to improve customer's inventory and material flow processes
Work with customer to resolve stock shortages
Identify cost savings opportunities for the customer
Track shipments to ensure shipment deadlines are met.
Work with suppliers to correct part/shipment issues
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of warehousing/material-handling experience required
2-3 years inventory and auditing experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent necessary
Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, team player, flexibility required, verbal & written communication skills, excellent with numbers and time management, strong problem solving skills required
Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required
Must also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer owned Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms.
Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
